Situated on a stunning 800 acre working National Trust cliff-top farm which stretches from the breathtaking cliffs at Beeny to the idyllic surfing beach of Crackington Haven. Only minutes away from the ‘South west way coastal path’ and an adventurous climb down to the hauntingly beautiful Strangles beach. Trevigue holiday cottage in a designated ‘Area of Outstanding natural beauty’ (AONB).
Trevigue is set back slightly from the stunning beach of Stangles, the inspiration for Thomas Hardy's poems. Utterly unspoilt, (the whole of Trevigue is listed) this area takes in all the wild beauty of the Atlantic and the rugged Cornish coast. The bustling seaside village of Crackington Haven is only 1.5 miles away so all amenities including a pub overlooking the sea and two lovely cafes are on your doorstep.
Trevigue offers luxurious accomodation and is beautifully furnished with all mod-cons, with two sitting rooms both having wood burning stoves it is also absolutely ideal as a year round retreat, so the cooler evenings are not a problem.
Many of the original features have been retained within the house such as the oak beamed ceilings in the kitchen which also has reclaimed wooden floorboards.
Every luxury has been thought of for your comfort including a 42" Plasma TV and Blue-Ray DVD player should watching a good film in front of a roaring fire take your fancy.
Should a delicious cooked breakfast be your desire then you can simply pop next door to our bed and breakfast farmhouse, or should you wish to take a break from evening cooking you can also book an evening meal too.
The master bedroom has an ancient oak beamed ceiling, a wood panelled wall and loads of space. There is a television and dvd player for those winter days when you can have indulgent long lazy mornings of breakfast in bed and back to back British black and white films. The king size bed has a gorgeously comfortable mattress with crisp Egyptian white linen and a super soft duvet. White fluffy bath towels are supplied for those lovely long soothing baths (towels in all rooms).
A large private family sized garden with garden furniture and barbeque with far reaching views over patchwork fields and an ancient wooded valley.
The village has a small shop, two tea rooms and a pub called the Coombe Barton Inn in a building which was originally the house of the manager of a local slate quarry.
Crackington Haven has a stony foreshore but a sandy beach is revealed at low water. Lifeguard Cover in Summer.
There is a charge of £35 for one dog.
Balance is due 8 weeks before the holiday starts.

Crackington Haven (which takes its name from the cornish for 'cove of the little crag') is a coastal village in north Cornwall, England. It is situated near to St Gennys, Jacobstow, Otterham, Davidstow, and Boscastle and is one of over 250 towns or villages in Cornwall in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest main cities are Plymouth (population 243,795), Truro (population 20,920), and Exeter (which has a population of 106,772 according to the 2001 Census).
Boasting a sandy beach when the tide is out (with shingle at the top) and some dramatic cliffs around the cove, Crackington Haven is popular with campers and walkers, but also with geology students who are attracted by the composition of the cliffs and rocks in the region.
